Faculty AI Workshop Series: Teaching and Learning at the AI Tipping Point: What It Means for Your Classroom
Generative AI has reached a tipping point in higher education: most students now use it in their learning, yet few receive guidance on using it well. This workshop will explore what's new in AI, how students and faculty are actually using it, and what it means for learning, assessment, and academic integrity. Rather than centering on policing AI use, we'll focus on what student learning looks like when AI is everywhere and how we can support it. Expect a highly interactive session where you'll stress-test a real assignment against today's AI tools, exchange strategies with colleagues across disciplines, and leave with one concrete change you can apply in your teaching. All faculty are welcome, wherever you are on the AI spectrum. No prior experience required.
