Celebrate Your Right to Read!

Join us for a "Right to Read, Read Out" event in celebration of Banned Books Week. We're inviting all USD students, faculty, staff, and administrators to celebrate the freedom to read by sharing a passage from a banned, challenged, or favorite book! Bring your favorite banned book or choose from one of ours at the event. Come read aloud or come to listen and support your fellow readers!

  • Date: Thursday, October 7

  • Time: 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM

  • Location: Copley Library Front Steps (Colachis Plaza)

How it works: Readings are limited to one minute per person, ensuring everyone has a chance to participate. Current USD students who read a passage will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a USD hoodie. The raffle winner will be announced on Friday, October 10.

Let's come together to celebrate the power of books and the right to read. We can't wait to see you there!
