Dean Norton is a distinguished political science researcher who has been published in a variety of journals. Her book, Creating Gender: The Sexual Politics of Welfare Policy was recently banned at the United States Naval Academy’s Nimitz Library. The book covers the ways in which public policy actively shapes and reinforces gender roles.
