APA Workshop (American Psychological Association citation style)

“Why do we have to do this?” This workshop will begin with a discussion about the point of using APA in citing sources to write research papers (beyond the basic plagiarism discussion). We will begin with concepts such as reading and understanding APA citations, identifying the different parts of a citation, and identifying which sources are cited in a citation. Then we will discuss quick methods for finding answers on citing sources that go beyond citation generators, the OWL website, and the APA book. Come and embrace and understand APA in a way that makes more sense than what you learned in high school. Please bring your tough APA questions so we learn together as a class.
