We Are Each Other's Harvest with Natalie Baszile
Natalie Baszile is the author of the novel, Queen Sugar, which was adapted for seven television seasons and nominated for an NAACP Image Award. She has a M.A. in Afro-American Studies from UCLA, and an MFA from Warren Wilson College's MFA Program for Writers.
Join us on Monday February 23, 2026 to hear author Natalie Baszile speak about her new non-fiction book, We Are Each Other's Harvest: Celebrating of African American Farmers, Land & Legacy, where Natalie brings together essays, poems, conversations, portraits, and first-person narratives to tell the story of Black people's connection to the land from Emancipation to the present. Natalie's passion for the strories of Black farmers and land stewards comes from a desire to shift the narrative around agriculture, farming, and labor.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
This event is free and open to the public.

Parking: Park in the West Parking Structure (Marian Way and Linda Vista Road) and take the tram up the hill to Copley Library. Payment is required Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. When paying for parking, you will need to enter your license plate number at a pay station. Please allow sufficient time for the tram. You may experience wait times from 9-15 minutes.
