Visual Communication: Producing Engaging and Dynamic Research

Today, we live in an image saturated society often referred to as a visual culture. Text-based information literacy instruction has long been taught in libraries, but now is the time to teach the unique skills required to be "visually literate". During this workshop we will cover how to efficiently find quality images, evaluate sources, use images effectively, discuss ethical concerns, copyright, and the critical analysis of visual materials.
